- History and origin of Tibetan Singing BowlsThe origins of Tibetan bowls are lost in the distant past, there are several beliefs or stories: how it was a gift from the Bon shamanic religion, which existed in Tibet several centuries before the arrival of Buddhism. Traditionally Tibetan singing bowls were used for meditation and healing in monasteries of monks.
On the other hand, they are original and representative of Nepal, used by the Newaries during their fire ritual ceremonies. There is a connection between singing bowls and the approach of Ayurvedic music therapy and Ayurvedic medical care. Pregnant women ate directly from the bowl in the belief that this would replenish the mineral shortage due to pregnancy.

- How to play a Tibetan Singing Bowl correctly? For a good therapy and meditation process, you should hold the bowl at chest height and start playing the instrument. For it to sound correctly there are several points that you must follow:
- The bowl should be positioned on the palm of your left hand. The fingers cannot touch the body of the bowl as this affects and cuts all kinds of melody.
- The stick is held in the middle, and the fingertips should be pointing down.
- Make sure the bowl is completely clean and there is nothing inside it (except for minerals to recharge with energy), as this may affect the melody that is produced.
- If the stick is used in circular motions over the rim of the bowl, the pressure applied should be as even as possible all the time. It should be rubbed with the same intensity and rhythm throughout the sound process.
- The blows from the stick to the bowl should be soft.
