The Witches Knot is a legendary protection amulet. It is made up of two powerful intertwined symbols. The first of these is the circle, the universal symbol of life, the universe and eternal things, and the four-cornered knot. The latter is Gaelic and represents the four seasons, the four gods of the Celtic seasons, the four cardinal points and the four elements (earth, fire, water and air), among other things.
The union of these symbols allows the witch’s knot to counteract the curses, evil eye or negative spells that are cast on the person who wears it. But, as we have said before, the sorcerer’s knot is not only used for protection. Serves as a reflective shield! So it will send all the negativity back to the one who released it in the first place. For this reason, it is one of the most coveted esoteric items among those who practice Wicca. Just by wearing it, you can already feel calmer. However, don’t forget to activate it!
- How should I activate my amulet?
You must activate your knot yourself. No one else can do it for you because this talisman uses your energy. To activate it, wait for a full moon night and place the talisman under a stream of running water to cleanse bad energy. Once done, you have to let it dry on a white plate full of black salt overnight. It is important that it is in a place where the moonlight hits it. In the morning, you have to put it back under running water and you’re done!
You are now ready to put on your witch’s knot (on the left side of the body, if possible) and enjoy the protection it provides. Also, you can do this ritual every time you feel you need to purify this amulet.
WARNING: Esoteric Black Salt is a very strong natural product, if it gets wet it gets very dirty. We recommend drying the talisman very well with a cotton cloth when leaving it in the black salt so that it does not turn black. Do not leave in humid places or in the rain.
